The Nigerian equities market halted its three days of wins,  as the NGXASI closed in the negative territory at close of the day’s session, down -0.10%. MTNN(-2.69%), Zenithbank(-1.11%), First HoldCo(-0.69%), FCMB(-2.01%) and Dangsugar(-0.86%) were among the key declining tickers mainly on weak demands. Market breadth however remained positive, with gainers out-numbering losers, led by sustained interest in GTCO(+1.99%), Nestle(+2.56%), Nem Insurance(+9.84%), Sterling(+2.80%), Jaizbank(+3.45%), NB(+1.05%), Fidelity(+0.52%) and a rebound in Accesscorp(+0.22%).   Seplat, Geregu,  Dangcem, Buacem and Airtel all closed flat.

Market turnover soared to N342billion($224million) on the back of an off-market 4.7billion (N330billion) internal restructuring transaction in Wapco which involves transfer of shares from Associated International Cement Limited to Davis Peak Holdings Limited,  involving two (2) wholly owned entities within the Holcim Group and representing 27.77% of the issued shares in Lafarge Africa Plc.
