The NGXASI ended the day on a slightly negative note, down by 0.14% today to close at 97,248.82 points. This downturn was due to the continued profit-taking in Oando (+9.95%) and losses in NB (-4.52%), Transcorp (-2.23%), Fidelity (-1.95%), GTCO (-0.22%) and FBNH (-1.82%) which was marked down today for a dividend of 40 kobo per share. Presco (+3.70%), Nascon (+2.64%), Stanbic (+0.28%), Access (+0.26%) and UBA (+0.23%) managed to salvage some valuable points. Market breadth closed relatively even, featuring 25 losers against 23 gainers. Additionally, Seplat traded ex-dividend today, offering an interim dividend of $0.03.

Market turnover stood at N5.4billion ($ 3.4illion), primarily driven by block trades in GTCO. Year-to-date the index is up by +30.06%. We expect the market to trade near or at current levels in the coming session
