The Nigerian equities market ended trading day flat, marginally down by 4 bps to settle at 100,032.32 points. Though market breadth closed positively with 22 gainers against 13 losers, the gains in FBNH (+3.94%), UBA (+3.70%), Ucap (+10.00%), Oando (+5.62%), Fidelity (+2.38%), Jberger (+4.79%), Transcorp (+1.27%), NB (+1.53%), Unilever (+4.05%), Accesscorp (+0.52%) and Jaizbank (+3.72%) were overshadowed mainly by losses in telco giant; MTNN (-3.40%), as well as others like Dangsugar (-1.44%), GTCO (-0.22%), Wema (-2.26%) and Nascon (-1.85%).

Index major players like Buafoods, Dangem, Buacem and Geregu still closed unchanged with little activity throughout the session.

Market turnover stood at N10.1 billion ($6.2 million), largely fueled by trades in Zenithbank. Year to date, the market is up by +33.78%. We expect the market to trade near or at its current levels in the next session.
