Today’s trading session closed on a brighter note as the All share index sustained its upward trend by +1.28% to close at 73397.71. The performance on the broad equity gauge was on account of gains recorded in telco giant Airtelafri (+4.87%), as well as positive movement in Stanbic (+9.31%), Transcorp (+10.00%),Cadbury (+9.03%), Presco (+3.94%), UCAP (+5.67%), Transcohot (+5.26%), Zenithbank (+1.99%) and Wapco (+1.77%) among others. Despite the positive sentiment, Guinness (-8.69%), ETI (-7.71%), Oando (-2.79%), Dangsugar (-0.96%)- and FBNH (-0.43%) succumbed to sell pressure.
Turnover was N12.82bln ( $16.00mln) boosted by trades in GTCO, Airtelafri, Accesscorp and Zenithbank . We anticipate the same trading pattern in the coming session.
