The Nigerian equities market was down today by 0.44%, settling at 99,217.60 points, marking the second consecutive day of losses this week. Though market breadth was slightly skewed with 25 gainers versus 22 loosers, Dangsugar (-5.66%), Wapco (-4.08%), Zenith (-1.81%), Oando (-9.75%), UBA (-1.14%), Sterling (-4.37%), NB (-0.86%) and Access (-0.27%) were the major drags on the index. On the reverse side, Okomu (+10.00%), Transcorp (+3.75%), Jberger (+6.29%), FBNH (+0.50%), GTCO (+0.23%) and Fidelity (+1.00%) salvaged some valuable points on the day. Major players like Buafoods, Buacem, Geregu, Dangcem remained quiet with their prices unchanged.

Turnover stood at N6.2billion ($4 million), largely driven by crosses in GTCO involving foreign interests. Year to date, the market index is up by +32.69%. We anticipate the market to maintain its current levels in the upcoming session.
